A hat is an investment. It is rare for anyone to want to wear a hat once, even if they buy it with one occasion in mind. I’d love you to have a hat, from my readyto- wear collection or made to commission, that you’ll want to wear over and over again.

I attend several shows where you can see (and buy) my readyto- wear hats and headpieces.A small selection is in a shop in London. Most are in my studio. Look at my See Us At page to find out where you can see my current collection.

Although fascinators are often less expensive than hats, most people want a fascinator they can wear more than once. There’s a huge choice, from tiny buttons to substantial teardrops, in my ready-to-wear collection and made-to-commission fascinators.

  • Beware of paper hats: You won’t know it’s made of paper (it looks like straw) but it’s one wear only – it will completely flop
on a muggy day and, of course, if it is raining.
  • Think about the weather: Never wear a hat in the rain unless it is heavily stiffened felt; all other fabrics will lose their shape
and will seldom recover. Never leave a hat in the heat (not in your airing cupboard, not in the sun including not in the boot of a
car) as it will lose its shape – heat distorts the stiffening agents.
  • Refresh a favourite hat: If you have a favourite hat that needs a refresh, or to be re-trimmed for a different outfit, I am more
than happy to look at it to help you get more wear out of it.
  • Storage: Always store your hat in a hatbox and, where necessary, support the crown. I always provide advice on how to look
after your hat if you hope to wear it again (as most people do).

Do browse through my collection and get in touch if you’d like to talk about buying a hat or having a hat made specially for you.
